Children's House: Montessori American Indian Childcare Center in St. Paul, MN is an indigenized early learning Montessori environment for children ages 3 to 6. Prenatal to Three Family Nest Program: Supports American Indian families in their prenatal period and children up to 3 years old. Shares information with parents on child development, Montessori education, and indigenous parenting. Families have access to developmentally appropriate Montessori and Indigenous materials and individual support for child development and parent concerns. Indigenous People's Weekend: Supports American Indian children & families as a public health event & the largest Native-led basketball expo in Minnesota. Planned & executed with support from the Niniijaanis MMIW basketball team(s) & Indigenous People's Weekend Youth Council. Activities include a youth skills camp, 3 x 3 tournament, 5 x 5 tournament, Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) Awareness Game, MMIW panel, community performances, and features a curated vendor list of Native artists, organizations & businesses. There’s a chance for everyone to learn, visit, participate in healthy activities or engage in Native commerce by supporting Native artists/businesses. Economic Mobility Hub: Staff serve families holistically and partner with them to provide support and access to resources that address their immediate needs. Families may qualify to work with a Family Coach to set attainable short-term and long-term goals.
